Automation Engineer - SW/HW

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Automation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience working with hardware.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop and implement automation scripts to control various lab instruments.

Finding Python solutions, Integrating with hardware, automation of electrical engineering measurements, characterization, and validation, Writing high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code, Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of best practices

Responsibilities:

- Develop resilient procedures and implement reliable software patterns to automate controlling devices

- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates within specifications

- Regular interaction with various operating systems and protocols; macOS, windows, unix, ADB devices

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities

- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools to continuously improve our automation capabilities

Skills:

- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or bash

- Experience working with hardware and interacting with it through software

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Working knowledge of version control and modern software application design
