As the CAD Designer, you will leverage CAD systems to create and refine detailed drawings or schematics used in planning and producing products. Under the guidance of the Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will develop and adjust custom designs, supporting each customer's unique applications for a variety of company products and technologies.
You Will:
Collaborate with Engineers, Sales, and Operations teams to create optimal designs that exceed customer expectations.
Generate or revise custom design submittal drawings to meet project specifications.
Create and maintain Autodesk REVIT layout models for product applications.
Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to produce accurate production and custom drawings.
Help track design changes affecting BOMs and manage BOM updates through the ERP system.
Contribute to prototype designs and modifications to existing products or equipment.
Interpret vendor drawings and translate relevant information into detailed engineering drawings.
Support field measurements and integrate data into accurate drawings.
Stay informed on processes, tools, materials, machines, and design techniques relevant to product development.
You Have:
3+ years of experience as an Autodesk AutoCAD and 3D Inventor drafter/designer.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing or equipment design.
Experience with Autodesk REVIT is preferred.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment :
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
