Lead Back-End Python Developer

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of new generative AI and LLM applications from concept to deployment.
2. Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable Python code for complex AI systems.
3. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design and optimize algorithms.
4. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in generative AI and LLM technology.
5. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, documentation, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Extensive expertise and experience in Python, ideally 8+ years, with mastery of FastAPI, asyncio, websockets, and AST.
2. Great experience with SQL (MySQL).
3. Knowledgeable on best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations in Python.
4. Familiarity with generative AI models, particularly LLMs, and a passion for pushing their capabilities is a plus, not a hard requirement.
5. Experience with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (GitHub / GitHub actions; we use Gitea, an open-source alternative to GitHub aiming to mimic GitHub).
6. A solid understanding of web development principles, from databases and APIs to deployment.
