Description
- Perform CAD design and drafting of fixtures, gages, and custom cutting tools.
- Assist in the fabrication of fixtures and gages as needed.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with company procedures, including drawings and tool room fixture programs.
- Diagnose production issues related to fixture, gage, and tool design.
- Analyze and enhance tool room production processes.
- Collaborate on designs for extrusion, fixtures, tools, and gages.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
- Program CNC machines for new products and optimize existing production processes.
- Write and optimize CNC programs for complex parts on three- and four-axis machining centers.
- Ensure compliance with tooling and machining requirements during initial setups.
- Assist in the development of workholding fixtures and selection of cutting tools.
- Measure parts and monitor tolerances throughout the production process, making adjustments as necessary.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC programming and setup.
- Prior supervisory experience is required.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and Inventor.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Strong understanding of G and M codes.
- Some college education or industry-specific certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Brother VMCs is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of fixture design.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Job Offer
- Base salary $100,000-$125,000 depending on level of experience
