NVH Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: NVH Engineer

Duration: 6 months

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $63.00 - $73.00/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

We aim to provide our customers with a premium ride experience while using our fully autonomous vehicles. You will work with a team of world-class engineers with diverse robotics, controls, and vehicle engineering backgrounds while mastering vehicle NVH development. In this role, you will lead NVH tests and use data to drive decisions to ensure the right level of quietness for our customers. Working at a startup allows you to manifest your creativity and make a big difference in the final product.

In this role, you will:

1. Conduct vehicle- and bench-level testing to assess and predict NVH performance on complete vehicle.
2. Perform experimental test methods such as transfer path analysis to quantify and rank noise contributions.
3. Develop and refine testing methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
4. Document test procedures, results, and analysis in detailed reports.
5. Determine the impact of proposed designs, problem root cause, and develop countermeasures.

What you'll need:

1. At least 5 years of automotive or related NVH development experience.
2. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
3. Excellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles.
4. Experience in vehicle-level NVH development and integration.
5. Hands-on experience with vehicles, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
6. Experience with acoustic and vibration test equipment and data analysis software (LMS, Test.Lab, HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS, etc.).

Bonus Qualifications:

1. Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
