Software Engineer

iLending is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Engineering team! We are looking for a full-time, career oriented individual who wants to join a fun and energetic company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain solutions in the cloud for the organization
2. Partner with architecture team in designing, and delivering solutions that adhere to standards, performance, security, and compliance
3. Resolve complex business problems by analyzing and creating solutions based on industry best practices
4. Manage entire software development life cycle including, planning, designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications in the cloud
5. Coordinate with the IT team to ensure the applications are working properly and efficiently in the cloud environment
6. Troubleshoot problems in the existing applications to identify and resolve issues
7. Mentor junior developers
8. Be the SME of the products the engineering organization owns
9. Be available for production support and regular on-call services

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

1. Overall, 5-7 years of experience in software engineering
2. At least 3 years of experience as an Azure Cloud Developer
3. Experience in working with Containers with usage of leading orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service)
4. At least 3-5 years of experience as a full-stack developer using React/Angular, .Net Core or other OOP languages.
5. Extensive experience in writing RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture
6. Experience with at least one modern programming language (including but not limited to NodeJS, React, .Net, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python)
7. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation Tools approach using machine-readable definition files (BICEP)
8. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
9. Reasonable understanding of some aspect(s) of network stack and network protocols
10. Understanding of major aspect(s) of computer security: network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, etc.
11. Experience in agile methodology, scrum framework
12. Experience in one or more of the following Azure service categories:
    1. App Service including Web Apps, Mobile Apps, API Apps, or Logic Apps
    2. NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB)
    3. Relational databases – database architecture and design (MS SQL Server, Azure SQL DB PaaS Service)
