The Seller Fulfilment Technology (SFT) team located in Seattle is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to deliver strategic goals for Amazon ecommerce systems. We are looking for an SDE to design and build our tech stack as a coherent architecture and deliver capabilities across marketplaces. We operate in a high-performance co-located agile ecosystem where SDEs, Product Managers, and Principals frequently connect with end customers of our products. Our SDEs stay connected with customers through seller, FC, and Delivery Station visits and customer anecdotes. This allows our engineers to significantly influence the product roadmap, contribute to PRFAQs, and create a disproportionate impact through the tech they deliver. Key Job Responsibilities
- As an SDE-2, you will be responsible for designing solutions for the promise-related features in Easy Ship that are scalable and latency neutral, handling 16K+ TPS using cutting-edge technologies.
- As an SDE-2, you will interact with various stakeholders to convert the requirements, independently design, implement, and deliver the features scaling across marketplaces.
- You will be responsible for mentoring other SDEs and establishing operational rigor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
