Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Bridge Design Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of bridge projects throughout the metro area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects and make a significant impact on the infrastructure of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze bridge structures using advanced engineering software and techniques.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and address any design-related issues that arise.
- Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs are current and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bridge design and analysis.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of bridge design codes and standards (AASHTO, NCHRP, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
