Econometrica specializes in research, econometric, analytical, and technical support for our clients, with an emphasis on data science, data analytics, statistics, economic analyses, and program implementation and evaluation services.
The Opportunity
Econometrica is looking for a Senior SAS Programmer for a contracting opportunity expected to last 9–11 months. The candidate will be involved in supporting and leading tasks related to modifying and re-coding a set of SAS programs on a healthcare government contract.
Education & Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience using SAS for data analytics and reporting.
- Thorough understanding of data manipulation and merging techniques, including PROC SQL, joins, data steps, procedures, and complicated conditional logic written in SAS.
- Ability to write highly efficient SAS programs using advanced procedures, macros, and arrays.
- Ability to independently investigate and lead to completion programming tasks of high complexity.
- Ability to independently conduct quality assurance and troubleshoot coding issues.
- Ability to use data documentation to independently answer questions about data structure and apply it to programming tasks using large databases.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting and develop effective relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- SAS Base and Advanced certifications.
- Experience with analyzing healthcare data.
- Experience with the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) and One Program Integrity (One PI) platforms.
- Experience with working on projects in a consulting environment.
Education
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or similar quantitative field. Master’s degree is a plus.
