As a key contributor to our Engineering team, you will:
- Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and general contractors and apply on-site 3D scanning, 3D CAD tools, design-for-manufacturability, and other benchmark methods to develop cost-effective, customer-specific solutions for all our client’s product lines.
- Prototype, test, and validate new designs.
- Prepare and submit highly detailed, building code-complaint proposal and bid packages.
- Produce the work instructions needed to manufacture and install our client’s complex, customized solutions at the customer site.
- Provide in-person, online, and phone-based customer support as needed before, during, and after the build and installation process.
We invite you to consider this exceptional opportunity if you offer:
- Five to 10 or more years of relevant design experience in a sophisticated manufacturing environment, preferably working with structural steel and wood and stamping, forming, and welding processes.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and in 2D AutoCAD and the enjoyment of the use of these tools to solve complex engineering, manufacturability, delivery, and installation, and building code compliance requirements.
- Structural and stress analysis experience utilizing hand calculations, spreadsheet tools and/or commercial FEA software would be helpful but will be taught otherwise.
- At least an undergraduate degree in a relevant Engineering field.
