Hourly Rate on W2: $42-45/hr on W2

Job Description

Require a minimum of 3 years of engineering-specific experience, with that level of experience being in the mechanical or controls area.

Position Summary: Design and fabricate control systems for automated production equipment.

Essential Functions:

  1. Work with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and maintenance in designing and providing manufacturing support and training for automated equipment.
  2. Demonstrate organization, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership/participation skills.
  3. Evaluate process and design alternatives based on Design for Manufacturability principles.
  4. Establish machine specifications based on customer requirements.
  5. Design control systems and develop and test software.
  6. Work with systems that range in scope from standalone PLC and HMI systems to multi-component, multi-user process control systems often with interface to Corporate databases.
  7. Program and integrate PLCs and HMIs using the following hardware/software: Allen Bradley, Acroloop, Cognex, DVT, Parker Compumotor, Keyence, .NET, Visual Basic, VBA.
  8. Ensure projects meet operating expectations and are completed within authorized budgets and schedule constraints.
  9. Establish knowledge base of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  10. Interface with vendors on procuring materials, services, and equipment.
  11. Troubleshoot new and existing automated equipment.
  12. Assemble and evaluate automated equipment.
  13. Support equipment validations.
