Position Summary
The Senior Engineering Technician - W/WW is a mid-level position with 1-3 years of experience. This individual will provide engineering services on all phases of an assigned project under the supervision of the Project Manager. This candidate will work in and around the Toms River, NJ Area.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • This individual will plan, design and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as pipelines; pumping stations; and treatment facilities.
  • Prepare NJDEP Department of Land Use Regulation permit applications as required by project scope.
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling as required for land development, roadway and culvert/bridge projects.
  • Responsible for scope, schedule and budget adherence to assigned tasks.
  • Operate under limited supervision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater equipment and their purpose.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complicated construction, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, and handbooks.
  • Ability to clarify and concisely express thoughts verbally and in written correspondence/reports/specifications.
  • Provides effort and takes pride in all work assignments produced.
  • Not afraid to ask for guidance/assistance in order to expedite the date of assignment deliverables.
  • Ability to simultaneously work on group and individual assignments.
  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) required
