Position Summary:
DevOps Configuration Engineer with experience on CD tools and having deep knowledge of the inner workings of different tools and systems to create fully functioning, cohesive delivery pipelines. The candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and streamlining the automated build and release pipeline.
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
- Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5-7 years of IT experience.
- Experience and knowledge with SDLC and agile development methodologies
- Responsible for creating, defining, and managing build platforms.
- Must be proficient in implementing and automating deployment processes using tools such as Ansible, XLR etc.
- Engage in creating and maintaining scripts, tools and pipelines that support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with development/agile team to automate and streamline the software delivery process in Windows and Linux environment.
- 4+ Years of hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD
- Experience with implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions using Jenkins/ Ansible/XLR
- Experience with container technologies and platforms
