Description:

Summary:

Oversees management of Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering (Test, Product, and Process). This role requires a prior background within EMS/CM/CEM.

Responsibilities:

1. Participates in the development and execution of division business plans based on corporate objectives.
2. Oversees production engineering and production operations departments to attain maximum efficiency and quality in the testing, manufacturing, and production of products.
3. Supports adherence to a production master schedule and responds to significant deviations and changes to satisfy customer requirements and optimize resource utilization.
4. Develops, recommends, and implements manufacturing procedures that result in continuous improvement in competitive positioning, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
5. Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas; develops and implements action plans related to the same.
6. Ensures that orders are manufactured according to specifications/quality requirements and that manufacturing cost standards are met.
7. Manages department budget and controls expenses effectively.
8. All employees are responsible for the quality of their work to ensure BEI meets or exceeds customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

1. 4 years of Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
2. 8+ years of electronics manufacturing and engineering experience; contract manufacturing.
3. 8+ years in a leadership role in a multiple or large site (600+ employees and associated revenue/customer base).
4. Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building, and project management.
5. Ability to drive solutions to complex planning issues with limited supervision.
6. Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
7. Lead participation in continuous improvement activities with complete documentation.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Effective interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities.
10. Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to work with diverse groups.
11. Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.
12. Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
13. Strong customer service and client focus.
