POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager I oversee small to mid-scale construction projects in various markets within a designated Region or Division. They utilize the Company Project Management Methodology to manage the entire construction project lifecycle and are accountable for the success of each project. This role involves providing support to functional project teams, addressing issues, managing resources, coordinating projects, engaging with clients, overseeing project finances, and providing training and mentorship. The Project Manager I also supervises third-party resources and monitors overall project performance. Acting as a primary point of contact, they ensure adherence to Company established Project Management Methodology and uphold safety and quality management standards.

JOB FUNCTION:

  • The Project Manager I plans, monitors, and reports project status and performance data to management and stakeholders, identifies potential stakeholder conflicts, and facilitates resolution.
  • They will be accountable for managing risks, developing and implementing mitigation plans, and communicating risks for both self-performed and subcontracted work across all phases of the project.
  • Additionally, the Project Manager I contributes to the continuous improvement of methodology, tools, and approaches using fundamentals of Company Project Management practices while training and providing project management guidance to associates and field engineers. The Project Manager I is considered the manager of the process.
  • The Project Manager I ensures that team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and congruent with the company's strategy. This role manages in an environment of trust and candor, promotes accountability, and assertively offers encouragement and constructive feedback.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Experience managing large-scale projects and knowledge of construction and utility industry practices
  • Understanding of Critical Path Scheduling software and MS Office Suite
  • Completion of 3 Company PMM online training
  • Completion of 7 Company PMP online courses to earn a Master Certificate
  • Moderately complex problem-solving skills
  • BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business
  • 2+ Years of Relevant Experience
