Manager, Software Engineering Summary:

Working as an Engineering Manager at Delinea means being a part of a highly capable, collaborative, and agile development team. Delinea is creating awesome software that's used by thousands of IT professionals all over the globe.

Reports to a Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Do:

1. Manage a Delinea sprint team
2. Collaborate with other managers and product managers
3. Work specifically on products related to cloud-hosted and on-premises applications
4. Contribute to the design and architecture
5. People management as well as project management
6. Work closely with architecture and staff level engineers to design, prototype, and build new features
7. Make team progress visible via dashboards

What You’ll Need:

1. 2 years+ experience running an Agile sprint team
2. 5 years+ experience as a software engineer
3. Team mentality. What is best for the business and not necessarily for you personally or your team individually
4. Experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and web application technologies
5. Full software development lifecycle experience is required
6. Expert-level interpersonal skills
7. 2 years+ experience in building distributed applications that scale
8. Experience working with large volumes of data
9. Experience leveraging APIs and Web Services such as REST and gRPC
10. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles
11. Experience with developing, leveraging, and hosting SaaS and/or cloud-based applications.
12. Experience with and the ability to teach others how to deal with large codebases
13. Solid experience with unit and automated testing
14. Strong sense of ownership
15. Prove ability to get projects over the finish line
16. Experience costing stories and the ability to teach others such that carry-over is minimal
17. Experience with Agile software development methodologies
18. Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
19. Never be satisfied with mediocrity

We'd Love to See:

1. Ability to look at the big picture, come up with great new ideas, and execute those ideas by influencing product management and your team to prioritize and implement them
2. Passionate about your team writing quality code
3. Experience with ML and analysis of large data sets
4. Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment)
5. A good understanding of security best practices in software development.
6. A strong desire to simplify complex issues
7. A good understanding of metrics as related to the effectiveness and quality of the team’s output
