WHAT YOU'LL DO
It takes a lot of parts and pieces to create and support a gravity-defying product and we are passionate about our vision - 71% of our Earth is covered by water and we want everyone to make the most of it. As our Aftermarket Mechanical Assembler, you'll join a team of talented individuals focused on bringing units back from the field, tearing them down, and rebuilding them into remanufactured Seakeepers. In this role, you'll lead special projects for the Aftermarket department resulting in resources and capacity that will enable the Aftermarket team to prepare, assemble and produce these gravity-defying products for the next Seakeeper customer. You'll ensure these projects are completed efficiently and provide the highest quality resources for our Aftermarket Operations by:

  • Maintaining quality standards and making adjustments when necessary to produce products within specifications
  • Verifying components by measuring and visually inspecting completed components; rejecting and immediately reporting products outside test and quality specifications
  • Operating an industrial truck and/or electric hoist for loading or moving materials and products
  • Cleaning work area, machines, and equipment using brooms, rags, and cleaning compound to assist machine operators
  • Following standard operating and safety procedures
  • Providing input for the creation of efficient processes and workflows that allow a maximum number of units to be produced
  • Preparing and assembling Seakeeper sphere and foundation sub-assemblies, utilizing build stands, overhead hoists, and various hand and power tools
  • Assembling, balancing, and testing parts/components efficiently within the allowed time standard by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies
  • Checking and maintaining material and tool inventory
  • Anticipating required supplies and notifying the manager for placing and expediting material orders
  • Completing standard production and quality forms as needed
  • Performing factory acceptance testing procedures and activities required to ensure that each Seakeeper is in compliance with quality standards
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST HAVES
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of technical product, quality, assessment, or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and assemble items with the aid of blueprints as the primary tool
  • Willingness to gain knowledge of processes to manufacture, inspect, assemble, and test throughout the completion of product
  • Ability to take detailed and clear notes that can be retrieved and understood by all managers
  • Be mechanically inclined and proficient in troubleshooting/problem-solving
  • Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and adhere to standard operating procedures and job safety parameters
  • Able to bend, twist, stand, and walk most of the shift as well as lift and transport equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, and pay close attention to detail
  • Possess conceptual, process improvement, functional and technical skills
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) fluently in English
  • Able to prioritize tasks within the department and act in a flexible and positive manner toward tasks at hand
  • Possess a valid driver's license
MORE DETAILS YOU'LL WANT TO KNOW
  • You'll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-time
  • This position will work Monday through Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)
  • You'll report to the Aftermarket Production Supervisor, also based in Leesport, PA
  • This is a manual labor position, working along and within a production assembly line

YOUR TEAM
Our Aftermarket Operations team is nestled within our Aftermarket Department. The Aftermarket production team will churn out as many remanufactured Seakeepers as we can to change our customer's boating experience forever!
