Phoenix Semiconductor Corporation, an industry-leading business is seeking an experienced Hardware/Firmware Engineer/Architect to develop drop-in, replacement semiconductor solutions for DMS components that support Government and commercial applications. We are seeking?to hire a mid to senior level engineering professional with expertise and experience in hardware/firmware engineering and architecture. Candidate will have responsibility for leading edge design and development of semi-conductor products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and deliver production quality hardware.
  • Complete fabrication artifacts for use by external fabrication houses
  • Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept up to production.
  • Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) test system level requirements into FPGA requirements.
  • Design and code in Verilog/VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
  • Verify designs utilizing self-checking techniques with directed and constrained random tests, while tracking functional and code coverage
  • Experience with integration and debug of FPGA/ASIC devices
  • Create complete documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user’s guides.
  • Understand requirements and produce solutions.
  • Collaborate with end-users to garner product feedback and new functionality requirements.
  • Work closely with an energetic, highly collaborative team of professionals from industry and academia.

You meet the minimum requirements if you are...

  • Mid-level career professional with 5+ years of experience
  • Proficient in Xilinx, Altera, and Lattice FPGA development.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree(s) in electrical or systems engineering?
  • US Citizen

You 'll go beyond our minimum requirements if you have...

  • Knowledge of EDA tools (such as Synopsis, Cadence, etc.) and the EDA tool stack
