Java Engineer I

We are seeking a junior java developer in computer science, engineering, or IT-related majors who are looking for an opportunity to apply their skills in a back-end focused full-time role. You'll join a full-stack team, train on our methodologies and technology stack and then own, develop and deploy assigned features alongside your team.

What You'll Do

1. Perform assignments and projects as determined by engineering and/or product leadership.
2. Participate in team and organizational agile ceremonies.
3. Utilize project management skills to manage and report on assignment and project status.
4. Effectively communicate with others, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Perform all work in accordance with established software engineering standards.
6. Complete assigned training and participate in self-learning.
7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

1. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related major preferred.
3. Strong academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
4. Relevant internships and/or co-op program experience preferred.
5. Experience with Java, Node.js, Angular, or Swift preferred.
6. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong analytical skills.
8. Ability to work in a team environment.
9. Ability to multitask and be flexible.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the capacity to learn additional software applications as required by the assignment.
11. Capable of managing own time to meet established deadlines.
12. Ability to demonstrate initiative.
