Language Engineer - AI

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Language Engineer to join our Gen AI team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data annotation guidelines and workflows, ensuring high-quality data annotation, and maximizing productivity and process efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple stakeholder requests in a fast-paced environment and is flexible to adapt to changing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate detailed guidelines for annotating data tailored to Generative AI models.
• Create efficient workflows to optimize the annotation process across different programs and languages.
• Help develop and implement robust quality control metrics to assess annotation accuracy.
• Develop training programs and materials for Content Specialists and AI QA Analysts.
• Provide continuous support to existing team members.
• Streamline data pre- and post-processing, create data processing scripts to ensure data consistency.
• Conduct regular audits and investigations to ensure process quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Document procedures and findings to support ongoing enhancements and best practices.
• Efficiently handle annotation and data investigation requests from various stakeholders.
• Maintain high accuracy and quality in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant work experience of 3+ years Proven experience in data annotation and quality control.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of Regex, SQL, MS Excel, Git.
• Experience with data annotation platforms and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with process standardization and documentation.
• Experience with AI and machine learning concepts.
• Proficiency in the following languages a plus: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazilian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
