Job TitleTurf Process EngineerPosition OverviewShaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to oversee and provide engineering leadership to the turf business. This p osition manages processes or key components of turf process ing . The p osition will focus on finished quality at Plant WE but may involve projects across the turf business. The position provides engineering perspectives and skills to support turf quality activities of plant personnel and serves as a resource to the turf business and the agent of the c ustomer. We are committed to creating a better future for our customers, our people, our company, and our communities.Responsibilities:Support the finishing department by working closely with the department manager on Turf initiatives, processing and projects.Prioritize quality compliance, Root Cause quality issues, continuous improvement, and data analysis.Training and Implementing Turf processing best practices , Statistical Process Control, and Inspection Methods as dictated by the Plant Management System.Train others in Turf Quality Inspection, as well as developing Quality Instruction, Checklist, Corrective and Preventive Action PlansTrack, chart and analyze all Critical to Quality Turf Testing Data, Department Quality Metrics & Claims Research identifying and issuing Corrective Actions to correct root cause issues.Participate in the development and achievement of the plant’s annual turf quality and claims goals.Track and evaluate yarn lot performance in finishing and provide feedback to extrusion and tufting.Provide turf reinspect with ship/downgrade/chance ship decisions as needed.
