Support Engineer

Voltage Park is building a machine learning cloud infrastructure business from the ground up. As part of this effort, we’re looking for a Support Engineer to join our small team, who will resolve technical issues for our customers. This role is ideal for an experienced support professional who is looking to develop professionally in Technical Support, Systems Reliability Engineering, or even Solutions Engineering.

We are only hiring for this role in the San Francisco, CA area. We are not able to provide sponsorship for this position. Some travel to our data centers and company offsites will be required.

What You’ll Do

1. Solve escalated technical issues with customers via email and the occasional video call
2. Collaborate closely with Success, Product, Engineering and other teams to resolve issues for our customers
3. Work with Voltage Park product and engineering to develop content and features that empower Voltage Park customers to resolve their own issues
4. Identify and implement improvements to the Voltage Park customer experience
5. Juggle multiple responsibilities across different support functions
6. Manage high-impact cross-functional projects
7. Be on-call for urgent system incidents

Requirements

1. Linux command line experience
2. Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including SaaS application, API Integrations, networks, cloud platforms
3. Excellent verbal communication skills
4. Demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively
5. Ability to empathize with customers

What We’d Love to See

1. Experience in one or more of the following:

• Command line level sys administration experience
• Project management experience
• Startup experience
