Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our IT team and play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ServiceNow application development, scripting, integrations, and workflow automation to optimize and enhance our business processes.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will collaborate with business and technical teams to customize and extend the ServiceNow platform, ensuring that it aligns with organizational requirements and delivers an excellent user experience.
Responsibilities:
· Application Development: Design, develop, and configure custom applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
· Scripting and Customization: Create and maintain custom scripts (Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, Script Includes) using JavaScript and the ServiceNow Glide API.
· Workflow Automation: Build, enhance, and automate workflows, including incident management, change management, problem management, and service request fulfillment.
· Integration: Develop integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC, and other integration tools.
· UI/UX Enhancements: Customize forms, lists, and dashboards to improve user interface and user experience across the platform.
· Scoped Applications: Create scoped applications to ensure data isolation, security, and extensibility.
· Update Sets & Release Management: Manage update sets, collaborate with administrators, and deploy changes from development to production environments.
· Troubleshooting and Bug Fixes: Perform debugging and troubleshooting on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
· Performance Optimization: Ensure the scalability, stability, and performance of the platform by optimizing scripts and configurations.
· Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed features, workflows, and integrations.
Experience:
· 5-6 years of hands on developing in ServiceNow
· Development experience in AWS services
· Client-facing experience – demonstrated ability to develop and consult in a client-facing environment
· Demonstrated ability to create and consume web services (REST)
· Demonstrated ability to do scripting with NodeJS/JavaScript
· AWS or Docker or Kubernetes Certification Preferred
· AWS Cloud Services (AWS Certified Preferred), and containerized applications and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes – CKA Preferred)
· Monitoring and performance management/tuning of systems
· Networking, Linux based platforms, and modern JavaScript
· Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
· Experience working with DevOps, CICD, GitOps, Agile methodologies
· CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Jenkins
Skills:
· Proficient in Angular, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow.
· Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
· Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
· Experience with version control tools like Git is a plus.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
