Position

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

1. Create models which help drive value for users, advertisers, and our company
2. Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision
3. Perform code reviews and ensure exceptional code quality
4. Build robust, lasting, and scalable products
5. Iterate quickly without compromising quality

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms
2. Able to prioritize duties and work well on your own
3. Ability to work with both internal and external partners
4. Skilled at solving open ambiguous problems
5. Strong collaboration and mentorship skills

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent years of experience
2. 8+ years machine learning experience in industry

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in computer science or related field
2. Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks
3. Experience working with machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design

Work Policy

At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster. To reflect this, we practice a “default together” approach and expect our team members to work in an office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). Remote team members are still expected to travel for mandatory in-person gatherings at least 4 to 6 times per year.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is based on work location:

1. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $230,000-$335,000 annually
2. Zone B: $219,000-$318,000 annually
3. Zone C: $196,000-$285,000 annually

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
