Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is strictly a designer role, requiring a BS in Mechanical Engineering. The position entails mechanical design of construction projects on Tinker Air Force Base, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and preparing documentation suitable for solicitation through the base contracting office. The role includes investigating proposed projects, preparing sketches and layouts, and creating modification/alteration design specifications.ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical design for construction projects on Tinker Air Force Base.Review engineering plans and specifications for compliance with federal and state regulations.Ensure design formats comply with applicable guidance.Prepare required documentation for project designs suitable for solicitation through the base contracting office.Participate in construction planning by investigating proposed projects to obtain field data.Check existing facilities and utilities, conceptualizing the scope of completed projects.Prepare sketches and layouts supplemented by verbal or written information for drawing preparation.Develop modification/alteration design specifications considering existing structures, utilities, and facilities.Essential SkillsBS in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in mechanical design and construction projectsProficiency in AutoCAD and MEP designKnowledge of mechanical drafting, plumbing design, plumbing/fire protection, and HVACExperience in project managementAbility to coordinate workload to complete documents on scheduleAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in federal, commercial, or industrial constructionAbility to establish and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code complianceWork EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid schedule, with up to 2 days of remote work per week and at least 3 days in-office. Some travel to project locations as needed.
