To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

  1. Assist the Program Launch team in conducting new tool tryouts and other activities as scheduled.
  2. Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.
  3. Work closely with the other departments to improve efficiency and throughput.
  4. Stabilize the process by determining the root cause of process issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  5. Guide design, develop, and test die methods, materials, processes, and results.
  6. Troubleshoot and communicate die concerns to the Tool & Die supervisors and/or manager.
  7. Recommend incorporation of new technology where feasible and practical. Assure that all products quoted and/or released to the plant are feasible and that the quoted rate, crew sizes, and plant performance metrics are achievable.
  8. Lead training activities for die engineers in die principles and practices.
  9. Identify, select, train, and coach engineering talent.
  10. Lead department weekly meetings.
  11. Report project status to the department director.
  12. Understand and help overcome roadblocks to successful completion of projects.

This full-time salary role is a part of our Die Engineering team and reports to the Director of Tooling.


Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering cross discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in related technical and hands-on experience with Hot Stamping Tooling is required.
  • Background in engineering and building dies.
  • Ability to travel.
