Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineering Manager to join our client's team. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of FDA regulations and ISO9001 quality management system standards. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality engineering team and working closely with other departments to implement and maintain quality control systems.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering strategies, procedures, and controls to ensure that our products meet all necessary requirements and standards.
  • Oversee the quality engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate quality control systems into all areas of operations.
  • Manage the process of identifying and correcting product defects, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent similar issues in the future.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO13485, ISO9001 standards, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Work closely with the product development team to ensure that quality considerations are integrated into the product design process.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on quality metrics, issues, and initiatives.
  • Lead the investigation of customer complaints and product issues, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Manage the validation of new products and processes, ensuring that all necessary quality checks are performed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role in the medical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO13485, and ISO9001 quality management system standards.
  • Proven experience managing a quality engineering team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and quality control tools.
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) is a plus.
