Brady Corporation is seeking a Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer to join our team in developing high speed thermal transfer and inkjet printing systems. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and testing FPGA-based digital circuits to enhance the performance and functionality of our printing systems. The Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer will be successful in this position by leveraging their expertise in FPGA design to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that meet product requirements, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and continuously driving innovation and improvements in our printing systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize FPGA design tools to develop, simulate, and test real-time embedded systems.
  2. Write firmware to interface with and test the FPGA design.
  3. Collaborate with PCB designers and embedded software developers to architect and implement solutions to optimize the performance of printing systems.
  4. Develop detailed product requirements and technical specifications from market requirements as part of a cross-functional team.
  5. Evaluate and select appropriate FPGAs and other components based on product requirements - balancing performance, cost, and compatibility with existing system architecture.
