Senior Director of Enterprise Engineering

As Senior Director of Enterprise Engineering you will lead and elevate delivery and improving the quality of our Enterprise product family. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Worldwide Engineering, this role will lead a distributed software engineering team across the US and internationally. Your success will be measured by the quality and timeliness of product roadmap commitments, achievement of assigned strategic objectives, and utilizing the effective use of Agile methodologies, to drive cross-functional partnerships and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Development: Lead multiple product development teams to expand the enterprise market, including Management Solutions and Advanced ADC teams, through the entire product lifecycle—requirements handoff, planning, development, testing, and release
• Roadmap and Delivery Management: Track and report on product roadmap deliverables, project status and delivery risks; ensure adherence to committed timelines
• Innovation and Best Practices: Advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-native and microservice architectures to enhance development efficiency and product quality
• Agile Methodology: Drive the adoption and maturity of Agile and Scrum practices within the team; enforce high standards for development processes, including design review, security best practices, code quality, and automated testing
• Process Management: Oversee code reviews, enforce technical standards, and manage the transfer of requirements from product management to development to ensure comprehensive vision and readiness
• Performance and Engagement: Collaborate with VP Engineering to establish and maintain metrics for team performance, health, and engagement; manage resource allocation alignment with capacity and priority needs
• Team Engagement/Development: Actively engage with staff through regular 1:1 career planning and team building activities
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in TAC, GTM and Finance to foster collaboration, cooperation, and communication; lead defect management processes and facilitate incident resolution and TAC escalation during service impairments and outages
• Customer and Prospect Engagement: Partner with GTM and TAC teams to engage

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in leadership roles
• Extensive experience with modern automated testing and public cloud technologies and driving engineering productivity
• Proven ability to manage and execute upon product roadmap commitments
• Experience establishing impactful engineering KPIs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a transparent and collaborative culture
• Experience scaling Agile and Scrum practices with distributed teams

• Expertise in a specific domain such as software development, infrastructure, or data engineering. Showcase your ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical innovation
• Strategic thinking with a track record of driving business outcomes through technical initiatives
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and technical leaders with strong communication

• Demonstrated achievements and with quantifiable metrics, such as cost savings, process improvements, or revenue growth
