Key Responsibilities

  1. Serves as primary functional contact and technical expert on the senior leadership team to set the strategic direction for the organization as well as to ensure the tactical execution of commitments for area of responsibility.
  2. Provides leadership, direction and strategy development and makes final administrative or operational decisions within level of authority.
  3. Plans, directs and is accountable for all activities and results of organizational goals and AOP objectives. Provides leadership to team members to achieve goals.
  4. Establishes organizational procedures and plans, consistent with corporate policy. Executes, and recommends modifications to corporate policy.
  5. Partner closely with Operations leaders to ensure the smooth transition of products to volume manufacturing by providing requisite component, subassembly or system level test fixtures, training and procedures.
  6. Develop and coach the Engineering leadership team to provide project management of cross-functional product development teams to deliver projects: on time, within budget, with quality and within profit margins.
  7. Ensure that the groups activities provide the role model for safe behavior, including proper protocols and procedures, to include core values.

  • Leads through subordinate managers of managers; executes segment/functional business plans and contributes to the development of segment/functional strategy.

  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.

Impact

  • Guided by segment/functional strategy, impacts results of a department, business unit or sub-function or facilitates the work done by other segments/functions by providing support to impact the business.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Negotiates and influences the opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations; exercises sensitivity to the audience.

Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Years of Experience: 10 - 15 Years

U.S. Salary Range: $176,000.00 - $242,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
