Summary:
Join our dynamic research team focused on advancing cell-based immunotherapies. Collaborate with an experienced immunologist to identify and genetically modify HLA surface receptors on CD34+ and LSK cells. Utilize your expertise in cell culture, genetic engineering, and flow cytometry to characterize these modifications and contribute to the development of novel cell therapies. Successful outcomes may lead to exciting opportunities (and employment) to participate in pre-clinical studies and play a role in advancing these therapies toward clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culture and expand CD34+ and LSK cells under controlled conditions.
- Perform genetic engineering techniques to modify HLA surface receptors.
- Conduct flow cytometry assays to characterize receptor expression and cell phenotypes.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, and present findings to the team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, cell biology, immunology).
- Hands-on experience in cell culture, genetic engineering techniques (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9), and flow cytometry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A passion for scientific research and the development of novel therapies.
Compensation:
$19-24 per hour
