About the role:

As a Senior Product Designer (UX Designer) at TQL, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience and design direction of our digital product space. You will lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in the creation of user-centric products. You will support individual or multiple product groups as needed and take ownership of design initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholders, and user needs.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Lead and execute end-to-end design processes, including research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visual design
  2. Lead the design vision and strategy for digital products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  3. Conduct in-depth user intake and research to uncover insights and inform design decisions and iteratively improve products
  4. Create design frameworks, patterns, and systems to maintain consistency and scalability across products
  5. Collaborate with product managers, product owners, stakeholders, and engineers to define product roadmaps to translate business requirements into effective design solutions
  6. Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development process
  7. Mentor junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth. Work in tandem with Product Design leadership to foster a culture of design excellence within the organization and team
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate design sprints, workshops, and brainstorming sessions
  9. Continuously evaluate, improve, and iterate on existing product designs based on user feedback and data analysis
  10. Stay informed about emerging technologies, design trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into our design processes

What you need:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, Human Factors or related
  2. 5+ years of UX experience
  3. Proven ability to manage and deliver results on planned and unplanned projects on extremely tight deadlines
  4. Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or something similar
  5. Ability to provide an online portfolio or samples of relevant work
  6. Familiarity with and ongoing curiosity to stay abreast of current UX trends and best practices
  7. Experience with responsive web design and mobile platforms
  8. Excellent communication skills
