Located in beautiful Wenatchee, WA, Diamond Foundry is seeking an ambitious and versatile Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be working on improving processes and methods of operating high-tech plasma-based manufacturing equipment. Quality control and continuous improvements will be key. You'll be working with an experienced team of mechanical, chemical, and materials engineers and will be encouraged to gain experience in different areas. The position will involve hands-on work with complex semiconductor-style plasma CVD manufacturing equipment and will focus on characterizing performance, improving stability, and making incremental improvements to production metrics. Willing to work overtime and weekends to meet production goals. The position requires a successful candidate to be onsite.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing operational data and production metrics of our manufacturing line.
- Generating process or product improvement ideas and creating, tracking, and evaluating experiments to test those concepts.
- Identifying correlations between key equipment metrics and product quality.
- Writing technical documentation to detail process changes.
- Introducing new products and processes to the line, including planning rollouts of new equipment resources and diamond products, tracking and evaluating qualification material, and managing production ramp-up.
- Optimization and sustaining of backend treatment processes as needed for high-volume manufacturing.
- College degree in Material Science/Chemical Engineering or similar field.
- Ability to extract and analyze data using tools such as SQL and statistical software such as JMP. Detail-oriented mindset.
- Firm grasp of concepts such as Six Sigma and Design of Experiments.
- Experience in fabrication processes/reactor growth environment is highly desired
- Independent problem solver.
$70,000 - $125,000 a year
This position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's job duties, experience, and expertise. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
