Systems Engineer, Magnix USA, Inc., Everett, WA: Responsible for systems engineering activities to develop, integrate, and qualify our electric propulsion systems.Specifically, the Systems Engineer is responsible for applying mechanical engineering principals to design and build Electric Propulsion Engines for electric aircraft. This involves research and development of electric powertrain solutions and designing advanced batteries for aerospace with the goal of designing lightweight power distributions units, intelligent battery management and control, and pre-charge functionalities. Additionally, the Systems Engineer will perform validation and verification tests to ensure proprietary safety features and optimized performance for certification.Duties and responsibilities include: • Use systems engineering skills, identify program requirements, verification methods, analyses plan and qualification and test programs; • Work with internal and external teams, customers, and suppliers throughout our product development cycle to manage requirements plans, system validation, and verification; • Support Certification documents preparation; • Support the validation and verification plans execution for DO-178, DO-254, and FAA regulatory compliance; • Review compliance of design to specifications and requirements, review conformance of project documents to requirements; • Manage the requirements change process, identifying customers' priorities and recording conflicts between individual requirements; and • Develop internal guidelines and standards for special processes as required for our EPU (Electric Propulsion Unit).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
