As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll not only be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing infrastructure but also play a pivotal role in designing and advising our implementation strategy for DevOps tools. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our DevOps landscape as a foundational member of the team, laying down the groundwork for a growing department.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior level DevOps role
  • Strong experience with automation/configuration management
  • Solid experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Proficient with code versioning tools, including branching and merging strategies
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, BitBucket Pipelines)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl
  • Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
  • Certifications in cloud architecture
  • Experience with infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of database setup, tuning, and management

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of our DevOps tool implementation strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's long-term goals
  • Manage version control systems and process, including branch management and merging
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
  • Automate processes and deployments to streamline development and release cycles
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting tools, enhancing system security and reliability
  • Work closely with software development teams to identify and architect scalable services
  • Document systems configurations and operational procedures
  • Provide on-call support for production environments
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in DevOps methodologies
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment of infrastructure developments with business needs
