As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll not only be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing infrastructure but also play a pivotal role in designing and advising our implementation strategy for DevOps tools. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our DevOps landscape as a foundational member of the team, laying down the groundwork for a growing department.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a senior level DevOps role
- Strong experience with automation/configuration management
- Solid experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
- Proficient with code versioning tools, including branching and merging strategies
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, BitBucket Pipelines)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl
- Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- Certifications in cloud architecture
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of database setup, tuning, and management
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of our DevOps tool implementation strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's long-term goals
- Manage version control systems and process, including branch management and merging
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments
- Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Automate processes and deployments to streamline development and release cycles
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting tools, enhancing system security and reliability
- Work closely with software development teams to identify and architect scalable services
- Document systems configurations and operational procedures
- Provide on-call support for production environments
- Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in DevOps methodologies
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment of infrastructure developments with business needs
