Description:
We have an immediate need for an Information Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience and experience with the Certification Accreditation process. This position is for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) who will lead the planning, design, and documentation of security practices, policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to files and data elements of Navy enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will recognize and identify potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change and additional development. They will provide the management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise of critical issues affecting security objectives and recommend security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness of Navy enterprise systems.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Facilitating the collection, audit, and submission of required deliverables through the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process, including CSR Submission, CSR Deliverable audit, DIACAP workbook collection, audit, and submission.
  2. Support the Engineers with information assurance compliance tracking and analysis.
  3. Act as a facilitator between certification & accreditation (C&A) process.
  4. Consolidation and audit of technical documentation needed to get the solution to pass certification & accreditation from the Navy (i.e. RMF packages).
  5. Present technical documents to internal and external customers.
  6. Analyze performance problems and recommend solutions to the engineers on the team.
  7. Review the CSR documents (RFR, Whitepaper, Executive Summary).
  8. Schedule for CSR, attend the meeting, and post minutes in the appropriate RMF project.
  9. Retrieve eMASS package, review all CSR minutes for the solutions assigned to the RMF package, and attach all documents to the project.
  10. Develop and execute the required scans and checklists.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert for Scan Mitigations on RMF and baseline scans.
  12. Communicate issues both verbally and in writing through the appropriate groups/teams.
  13. Review and understand required delivery dates (project schedule) for the assigned project.
  14. Timely and clear escalation of issues/risks prior to required RMF delivery date.

Minimum Requirements:
ALL candidates must have a Bachelor's degree to be considered for this position.

Top Skills' Details:
5+ years of experience as an IA engineer performing ACAS Scanning.
5+ years of Experience with RMF.
5+ years of experience in Vulnerability assessments and creating packages.

They will be working on a program called the Commercial Solutions for Classified Networks. The solution they are providing to the marine expeditionary force is proprietary to GTRI. They are supporting the different MEF locations, so travel will be required. Right now, they need to assign a Strong ISSE to help get projects ready for ATO. This individual will be working directly with the customer, so GTRI needs a strong customer-facing individual who can help drive projects for the Navy to support the Warfighter.
