Basic Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred. Must have previous experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (especially Vue), or Python.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing SecDevOps software for the US Navy.

- Develop new software components for a comprehensive SecDevOps platform that integrates automated functional testing, CI/CD, blue-green testing, vulnerability analysis, and automated decision making.
- Develop new software components and integrate/customize existing open source tools to meet program needs.
- Integrate COTS and GOTS tools, including open source products and API-driven integration efforts.
- Build multi-tier software solutions, including database design and integration.
- Conduct software component integration to ensure end-to-end system functionality prior to formal testing.
- Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies for adoption by the Navy.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including configuration management, good coding practices, and experience in writing, testing, and deploying production-quality software.
- Development experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (especially Vue), and Python is required.
- Experienced in SecDevOps/Agile methodologies.
- Experience using Linux (basic OS comprehension and basic shell scripting), preferably Red Hat or derivatives.
- Experience with open source software and custom software, as well as integration between software applications using middle tier integration and data-driven models.
- Experience in cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

Target salary range: USD $99,812.00/Yr. - USD $110,729.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
