Profile:

To perform final assembly Manufacturing feasibility, planning and support program implementation.

Advance Manufacturing Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams like:

1. Product Design Engineering
2. Facility
3. MP&L
4. Plant Engineering Team

to validate Design and assembly feasibility for New Product Launch.

Advance ME has to:

1. Identify the assembly, Labor, Tooling cost saving opportunities, design commonization, complexity reduction, Facility Hardpoints & Facility re-usability opportunities during the design phase.
2. Create, modify and update program specific process sheets DPA5.
3. Perform checks, Raise part/process issues as identified to program.
4. Re-perform checks as D&Rs CAD matures through UNV2.
5. Support in establishing virtual build sequence P-Release.
6. Conduct ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required.
7. Lead identification, resolution, and closure of Mfg feasibility issues.
8. Complete design phase Health Chart assessments.
9. Write/modify/maintain process sheets (SOW) and deliver updated Cycle Line Layouts.
10. Failure Mode (PFMEA) creation and updates to manage RPN risk.
11. Support Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF) development and sign-off.
12. Interface with Design and Release activities.
13. Deliver cycle line layouts and work with the assembly plants to have a complete operator/equipment workstation ready for launch.
14. Develop program cost analysis, tooling design and build SOWs.
15. Define tooling needs DC and pneumatic tooling, Fixtured tooling and lift assists.
16. Identify ergo tooling needs o Major equipment and / or automation needs Pallets, details, and subassembly build-up conveyance.
17. Error proofing.
18. Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs.
