Description:
The project's main objective is to develop a state-of-the-art automated mission planning system for imaging satellites. This system allocates image collection tasks to a fleet of satellites, based on various requirements to acquire imagery. The development is done under MS Windows in Visual Studio 2005 and uses ORACLE 10g database. The programming languages used in the project are:

1. C++ for development of Algorithm components.
2. C# for development of Application and infrastructures.
3. PL/SQL for development of stored procedures.

NOTE: This position requires that you become an employee of the company rather than work as a contractor. However, the project is approximately 1 year in duration and may or may not offer the opportunity for employment after the project is complete.

Requirement:
The Senior DBA will be part of a team building a state-of-the-art and challenging project. His or her primary task will be to quickly understand our DB design and work as DBA, particularly in performance tuning.

Required technical skills:

1. Proven experience in Oracle Databases Administration on an MS-Windows environment.
2. Proven experience in Oracle performance tuning.
3. Minimum experience of 2 years with Oracle 9i or Oracle 10g.
4. Proven experience in versioning, source controlling, and deployment of Databases for development and production environments.
5. Proven experience in building backup solutions for 24-7 Database servers.
6. The candidate must have relevant experience with development on a Windows environment (XP, Server 2003).

The following areas of expertise are an advantage:

1. .NET environment and experience in development in Visual C++ / C#.
2. Developing reports using Crystal Reports.
3. Able to understand and design large-scale schemas for complicated project environments.
