For more than 78 years Winholt Equipment has been an industry leader in the custom design and manufacturing of food handling and food preparation equipment for the food service industry. We are looking for a Mechanical Drafter/CAD Operator to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This is a full-time in-office position reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting/utilizing Autodesk Inventor to design Food Service/Kitchen Equipment type products.
- Estimating/quoting a variety of Food Service/Kitchen type products.
- Work with Sales and Customers in the Food Service Industry on designs, specifications, and prototypes to suit their application needs.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree preferred. Extensive on-the-job experience in a similar environment may substitute for formal education.
- Experience with equipment used to cut, bend, join and finish ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Knowledge of the Food Service Industry Equipment required.
- Two years of quoting/estimating and drafting preferred.
- Two years of Autodesk Inventor /AutoCAD or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of Epicor. Proficiency with other ERP packages may be considered.
- Generalist approach to the field with a willingness to research and execute projects with a very "hands-on” approach.
- Work with personnel at all levels of the organization in a diplomatic yet assertive way to achieve the solutions that are best for the Company.
- Monitor product documentation for accuracy and make necessary corrective actions.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in a typical office environment.
- Must be able to work on the shop/warehouse floor and follow Winholt’s requirements for the use of PPE.
- Able to sit, stoop, bend, crouch, sit, stand, walk, and carry.
