Open Roads Project Engineer
STV is seeking a skilled OpenRoads, OpenBridge Project Engineer specializing in transportation projects to join our New Jersey team. The individual will be responsible for utilizing Bentley's OpenRoads, OpenBridge software to develop innovative and efficient designs for transportation infrastructure projects, contributing to the successful completion of projects within quality standards, budget constraints, and schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Bentley's OpenRoads, OpenBridge software to develop 3D models, alignments, profiles, corridors, cross-sections, for transportation projects.
- Modify the OpenRoads, OpenBridge workspace per project needs, including the development and or modification of workspace configuration files, and dgnlib files, and SUDA components.
- Mentor and train and provide guidance to other staff engineers in the use of Open Roads.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate design components into overall project plans.
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for roadway, highway, and transit projects.
- Conduct design reviews, constructability assessments, and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and client communications.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to OpenRoads design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- P.E. License in NJ or ability to get it within 6 months.
- Proficiency in Bentley's OpenRoads, OpenBridge software and related tools (OpenRoads Designer, OpenRoads ConceptStation, etc.).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus on roadway design, alignment optimization, and geometric design.
- Familiarity with relevant design standards and guidelines (AASHTO, FHWA, state DOTs).
- Strong technical skills in OpenRoads Designer/MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation Range: $114,960.00 - $153,281.00
