Are you an Electrical Designer in Kansas City looking to take the next step in your career? An engineering design client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Electrical Designer to join their growing team in Kansas City, MO. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for collaborating with engineers to design a variety of electrical components outlined below.

1. Use AutoCAD 3D to create electrical raceway models, design drawings, and circuit routing for power and industrial projects.
2. Produce complete Electrical One-line, Three-line, and Relaying Diagrams based on input from design engineers.
3. Plan and develop production drawings, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations for complex assignments.
4. Implement changes to designs, sketches, and redlines on ongoing projects.
5. Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to inform project planning and design.
6. Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications.
7. Review design drawings for quality assurance, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule.
8. Perform project tasks within budgeted hours and deadlines.
9. Manage revisions of project drawings and ensure project-related information is organized and stored logically.

Skills and Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience doing the electrical design for Power Generation projects, OR Heavy Industrial projects OR Renewable Biomass projects.
2. Experience with Steam and Gas Turbine Generators, 480V & 4160V Equipment, Generator Step-up Transformers, and other Power Plant Equipment.
3. 5+ years of experience with Electrical One-lines, raceway, and cable routing design for power plants and boiler applications.
4. Experience with AutoCAD 3D - Experience with Plant3D OR Aeries Cars.
