Sr. Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

1. Builder, work with top product design talent to build performant APIs and clever tooling.
2. Ownership, take product requirements from start to launch, debug and quickly fix bugs.
3. Adaptable, ability to quickly switch between projects, hitting moving targets from multiple stakeholders.
4. Sustainable, keep up to date on latest tech and best practices, continuously improve and challenge yourself.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics (STEM) or relevant experience.
2. At least 5+ years experience using Node.js, Go experience is a plus.
3. Deep expertise and understanding in cloud function architectures such as Serverless with AWS Lambda.
4. Knowledgeable of modern CI/CD tools and experience in an environment with rapid deployments.
5. Worked extensively with PostgresSQL, GraphQL, caching, logging, monitoring and alerting systems. DynamoDB database experience is a plus.
6. Proficient building and using automated testing tools (Cypress, Jest, etc.).
7. Have a great habit for documenting ideas and commenting code, fostering an environment that promotes greater understanding and collaboration between other engineers.
8. Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple development tasks simultaneously and synthesizing concrete results.
9. Possess outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to articulate ideas effectively, and be able to work with others at all levels.

2. Position reports directly to our Executive Director, Engineering.
3. Some travel may be required.

Compensation & Total Rewards

The expected pay range for this position is $139,920 to $169,900. Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
