Job Details:


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating our engineering team's efforts.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of our products, ensuring they meet the company's standards and goals.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency of the engineering team.
  3. Manage the engineering budget, resource allocation, and scheduling.
  4. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in product quality and performance.
  5. Oversee the development and maintenance of embedded software systems.
  6. Lead the design and development of medical devices, ensuring they adhere to regulatory standards.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and marketing, to align engineering strategies and activities with the company's business goals.
  8. Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team members.
  9. Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.
  10. Propose and manage training and development programs for engineers to enhance their skills and performance.
  11. Ensure the company's engineering operations and products comply with all industry regulations and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the embedded engineering field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  3. Proven experience in product development, embedded software engineering, and medical device engineering (also open to other high-reg industries).
  4. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  6. Design experience.
  7. Working knowledge of ISO standards (13485/14971/ IEC 62304).
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Proficient in the use of engineering software, and up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  10. Familiarity with industry regulations and professional standards in the field of medical devices.
  11. A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
