Senior Knowledge Engineer

Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a talented Knowledge Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.

This position will be supporting the Florida Department of Financial Services Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM).

This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for developing an infrastructure and process to capture knowledge gained by the organization through successful system interventions and enabling its shared use.
2. Oversees the identification of critical knowledge, its usage, availability and the needs of various business groups.
3. Involved in modeling information sources, flows and critical paths, as well as understanding how information is turned into knowledge and the relationship of knowledge and how it supports and enables key business processes.
4. Facilitates the development of supporting knowledge architecture and standards.
5. Works with operations staff to define an operational framework that defines, develops and implements delivery systems, systems management, policies and security frameworks to ensure delivery of knowledge and information to appropriate groups.
6. Develops infrastructure and process for identifying and sharing enterprise’s core technical and business knowledge.
7. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert.
8. Works on projects/issues of high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a Masters degree and 6 years of experience or a High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
2. Must be a U.S. or Green Card Holder (No exceptions).
3. Experience with document management, groupware, relational database systems, data warehouse and data mining, Web and systems analysis/development.
4. Possesses expertise in process and data modeling, architectural development methodologies, IT planning methodologies and extensive knowledge of the enterprise’s business and decision-making processes.
5. Must possess strong leadership skills to gain credibility with various business leaders and stakeholders.
6. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing activities directly related to a Data Warehouse implementation, database design and database administration (DBA). Experience includes implementing or maintaining Oracle data warehouse and business intelligence tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Analytical Server (OAS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
7. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing activities directly related to data modeling (logical and semantic) and metadata management. Experience with data warehouse fundamentals such as SQL, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), star and snowflake schemas, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, Informatica, Tidal, and Business Intelligence Application Configuration Manager (BIACM).
8. Experience implementing and using business intelligence tools, including data visualization, analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving and strong communication.
9. Ability to analyze database tables, materialized views, data sets, reports, and so forth to identify gaps and to determine the appropriate action to be taken to resolve or disposition the identified gaps.

Target Salary Range:
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
