Civil Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will be efficient in Civil 3D AutoCAD and have experience working on land development projects. The ability to work with little supervision is essential. During the design process, the candidate will ensure that designs meet all necessary design standards and specifications outlined by the jurisdiction of where the project is located.

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Understand engineering concepts used in land development.
2. Create engineering drawings, pipe networks, and corridors.
3. Grading experience on subdivision, commercial, and retail sites.
4. Create drainage studies for projects, perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
5. Erosion control design and write stormwater management plan.
6. Perform roadway design.
7. Water and sanitary sewer layout.
8. Proficient in using WaterCAD, StormCAD, and UD Sewer.

Design Engineer Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant technical degree.
2. 2-25 years of relevant experience.
