TELEWORK This position requires full-time in office attendance. YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Air, you would contribute to protecting and restoring Texas air quality. This position is a member of our Air Monitoring Division. See details about what we do KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic equipment and instrumentation. Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software. Experience reviewing air monitoring data, or highly technical information, for quality, accuracy, and/or applicability. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Operate, calibrate, audits, troubleshoot, and repair continuous and non-continuous air monitoring instrumentation in accordance with quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) procedures. Perform advanced QA/QC analysis of continuous and non-continuous data to ensure quality instrument function and performance. Provide training and mentors junior level staff; assigns and/or oversees the work of electronic technicians. Oversee the construction and calibration of specialized electronic equipment, sets up and oversees the deployment and placement of continuous air monitoring (CAMS) equipment / stations. Participate in CAMS program activities such as: may serve on Committee, review, and provide input on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), FOSTAT, etc., and CAMS monthly calls (operators meeting, Network Design Team) as applicable. Assist Systems Planning and Implementation Team in deployment of air monitoring instrumentation and facilities. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Graduation from high school or GED certificate plus six years of full-time experience directly related to the examples of work performed. One year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work which included six semester hours in mathematics, or natural or physical science may be substituted for each year of required experience. OR Graduation from a licensed vocational, technical, or business school with a certificate of completion in the areas directly related to the examples of work performed plus three years of full-time experience directly related to the examples of work performed. OR A certificate of completion in areas directly related to the examples of work performed from a military technical training program plus four years of fulltime experience directly related to the examples of work performed.
