Install, Program, and Maintain Programmable logic controllers. Become familiar with the principles and methods of electrical, thermal and water utility metering. Use applications to manage, monitor and report meter issues. Work in tunnels and mechanical rooms while testing, troubleshooting or installing PLC equipment. Effectively communicate status, progress or any issues found with the metering system to the group, internal customers and management.Create, maintain and utilize data systems and pathways to make real-time process control and billing data available to relevant databases and applications. Follow established conventions for labeling and naming of tags, variables, instruments and meters. Maintain applications used for historical trending, utility billing and alarm monitoring. Familiarity with OPC-UA and data gateways is necessary.Install and Maintain computer hardware and software that is used in plant process control. Knowledge of computer systems such as servers, clients, domain architecture, multi-monitor displays is necessary. Install and Maintain virtual servers and clients. Familiarity with how to back up, move or clone virtual environments. Assist with inventory process by maintaining accurate logs and audits of hardware/software installed or removed.Install, Program and Maintain computer network switching and routing. Familiarity with fiber and copper media is necessary. Experience with configuration back up, loading changes and investigating faults is necessary. Understanding of switch and firewall implementation rules, port and service assignment, NAT, VLAN and DMZ areas. Acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to obtain network certifications such as CCNA.Design, Develop and maintain data driven applications using common web languages and cloud infrastructure. Utilize API's and common query methods to obtain or augment databases used for analysis and utility billing. Familiarity with machine data acquisition and transfer. Have a working knowledge of application repositories and version control management. Work within in a staging environment prior to deploying changes on production systems.Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Drive University vehicles. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4. May be required to report to work at PRC campus. May be required for recall afterhours, weekends, and holidays.
