As the Director of Engineering, you will lead high performing, agile engineering team(s) responsible for design, development, testing, delivery and maintenance partnering with product and program peers and business leaders to define and deliver the technology roadmap.

What you will work on:

As the Solution Validation Engineering Director, you will play a central role in leading end-to-end testing efforts across multiple stakeholders. You will define a test strategy to support our current and future testing needs and will lead the team to implement this strategy effectively. Your expertise in testing methods, tools, and automation will ensure we bring innovation to Nike while delivering on time and with quality.

  1. Define strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and team goals and objectives that align with business strategies.
  2. Incorporate automation and service virtualization into our test strategy to accelerate delivery of our products.
  3. Establish quality and reliability standards by researching product and consumer requirements.
  4. Establish defect management standards and processes that align with various testing methodologies.
  5. Define ‘quality certified’ standards via validation tests, methods, and procedures.
  6. Establish rework standards by automated and physical testing methods.
  7. Document product quality by writing and updating quality assurance procedures, ensuring SOX compliance.
  8. Incorporate various testing methodologies into QA frameworks while ensuring speed, quality, and appropriate cost.
  9. Maintain product quality by enforcing QA governance and procedures and collaborating with management to develop new product and engineering designs.
  10. Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  11. Complete quality assurance operational requirements via resource planning and forecasting.
  12. Maintain quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  13. Coach and mentor quality assurance staff; plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
  14. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  15. Achieve financial objectives by preparing the team’s budget and scheduling expenditures.

What do you bring to NIKE:

  1. At least 12 years of leading a Quality Management team.
  2. Experience driving and delivering test strategies that include Agile practices.
  3. Experience delivering strategic quality assurance/management initiatives.
  4. Hands-on experience with a broad range of Test Management and Test Automation tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, Worksoft, SAP Solution Manager, and others.
  5. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT or related discipline.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. SAP knowledge and experience.
