Develocity is a first-of-its-kind product software teams use to accelerate and optimize Gradle, Apache Maven, Bazel, and sbt builds. It comprises several facets, including large-volume data ingestion and processing, complex data analysis and visualization, and distributed caching and execution systems.

Profile

We are looking for a Senior Web Engineer with a demonstrated ability to implement a new website with cutting-edge technologies and scalable architecture. The ideal candidate will have a user-centric and collaborative approach.

Our ideal candidates know and enforce best practices for website development and collaborate effectively with design, SEO, and marketing teams. They are passionate about user experience and are driven to deliver value to users. They thrive on challenging problems, deliver quality content in a timely manner, and feel comfortable collaborating with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement and deliver all assets regarding Gradle's public appearance, including the main website, conference websites, and others, based on Figma designs
  2. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  3. Enforce, implement, maintain & test a scalable, clean architecture
  4. Work with design to find the best UI/UX but also architecturally sane solutions
  5. Work cross-functionally with other teams such as the marketing and SEO teams
  6. Employ modern software development techniques and practices

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of experience in frontend development
  2. Experience with Next.js or React-like frameworks and Typescript
  3. Experience with version control and branching strategies
  4. Working proficiency and communication skills in written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in a Technical or Team Leadership role is a plus
  2. Knows and enforces best practices for website development: responsive design, a11y, reusable components
  3. Experience with styling solutions
  4. Experience with testing and advocating for automation of this area
  5. SEO and Google Analytics knowledge is a plus
  6. Understand the value of code reviews in delivering quality code
  7. Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills
  8. Interest and ability to learn new software development skills and techniques
